This weld-on bracket is designed to repair and greatly increase the strength of the factory radius arm mounts on GQ & GU patrol diff housings, failure of the factory mounts is very common, be-it from abuse over the last 20+ years off-road or having aftermarket caster correction bushes fitted (which are known to greatly increase the stresses that the radius arm mounts experience) the very weak design from factory doesn’t help the situation any. 

Our braces have three main bonuses with their installation 

• Repairs elongated bolt holes
• Fully welded around the underside of the housing
• Adds ~150% material thickness to the radius arm mounts.

Installation:

Installation of the braces is very simple,

1. Clean the area of any paint
2. Smooth out any of the large imperfections on the factory welds (there will be some!)
3. We highly recommend the use of a weld through primer to prevent rusting between the layers of bare metal.
4. Bolt the braces on and fully weld to the housing
